We offer Occupational Therapy services to children ages 12-months to 10 years old. Pediatric Occupational Therapy helps children gain confidence and independence while strengthening the development of the fine motor skills, sensory motor skills and visual motor skills that children need to function and socialize. We specialize in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, Developmental delays and Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy. Our therapists are also trained in Handwriting Without Tears.
Occupational Therapy is a treatment that works to improve fine and gross motor skills and motor planning. It can also help with self-regulation and sensory processing. The therapy is tailored to a child’s specific needs. Before it begins, our occupational therapist (an OT) looks at your child’s strengths and challenges, and the tasks that child has trouble with. The OT will then create a program of activities for your child to work on.
